The Red Carpet Gallery hosted the opening of the "Spring Awakening" show on Wednesday evening, March 10, 2010. The show will remain open through the month of June 2010. The Red Carpet Gallery, a program of the West Brighton Local Development Corporation, opened in June 2006 as a venue highlighting the talented artists of Staten Island. The Gallery is an ideal holiday gift shopping experience. The Red Carpet Gallery’s collection features various types of media including watercolor, oils, etchings, photography and jewelry. Artists include Anthony Butera, Antoino DeSantis, Larry DiSalvo, Susan Ledwith, Annette Marten, Sal Palumbo, Fran Rosati, Al Russo and other prominent Staten Island artists.
The gallery, originally funded as a pilot project through the West Brighton Local Development Corporation’s contract with the New York City Department of Small Business Services, is currently funded by Northfield Bank.
